Abstract: Diaz    and    Walter11]proved    a     uniqueness    theorem    for     solution    of    the
characteristic     boundary     value     problem
uzy=f(x,y,u,ug,u,),
u(x,0)=σ(x),    0≤x≤a,
u(0,y)=t(y),0≤y≤b, on  a   rectangle   R=[0,a]×[0,b].
We   prove    an    another    theorem    in    this   note.The   new   uniqueness   theq- rem   is   more    efficient    than    the   theorem    of    Diaz-Walter.
